Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

OVR IT STUDIO ("we," "us," or "our") operates OVR IT, an ADHD-first study planner and execution app for college students. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our web application at ovrit.app.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and username. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google.

Academic Data: Syllabi you upload, courses, assignments, grades, and study session data you enter into the app. This data is used solely to power your personalized study experience.

Usage Data: We automatically collect information about how you interact with the app, including pages visited, features used, session duration, and device/browser information.

Payment Information: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number. Stripe's privacy policy governs payment data handling.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to provide and improve the OVR IT experience, including: delivering AI-powered study features, personalizing your dashboard and recommendations, processing subscriptions and payments, sending account notifications, analyzing usage patterns, and protecting against fraud and abuse.

4. AI and Data Processing

Some features use third-party AI services (such as OpenAI) to process your academic data. When you upload a syllabus or use AI features, relevant data is sent to these services for processing. We do not use your academic data to train AI models.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers necessary to operate the app (Supabase, Stripe, Vercel, and OpenAI). We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.

6. Data Security

We implement security measures including encrypted data transmission, secure authentication, and row-level security controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

7. Your Rights

You can access, correct, or delete your data at any time. You can export or delete data in Settings, or by contacting hello@ovrit.app.

California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, including opt-out rights. See Do Not Sell My Personal Information.

Users in the EU/EEA/UK may have rights under GDPR/UK GDPR, including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability, and supervisory complaint rights.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising cookies.

9. Children's Privacy

OVR IT is designed for college students aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material updates will be posted on this page with the updated date.
